Time out, PGO restarts

I tried to update my files while connected using my Alltel aircard and got repeated timeout errors with automatic PGO restarts. When I do the same thing using a T1 connection, the timeout errors don't occur.

It sounds like there is a connection speed factor at work here. Is there a place to set the timeout limit?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

PGo can timeout or timeout & restart. Is it automatically restarting?

Cheers,

Wilson.

Yep, it automatically restarts.

Then if I go back and open the file and receive messages it repeats the same process again.

Other than perhaps PGO being sensitive to timing issues (latency or whatever it might be) I think it is more of a network problem with my ISP than a PGO issue.

At the moment I am happily pulling down messages on a T1, and all is well with the world.

Thanks,

Scott

OK, glad to hear that.

What kind of messages/min speed do you get?

Cheers,

Wilson.

I have the same problem. I updated to newestg version from 2.xxx.

Download worked OK on 'Amibroker' group several times.  But now does as above.

I don't have a T1 line so I am stuck here.  I searched and found reports of this problem before, but no solutions.  Perhaps a downgrade to an earlier version.  Or???

Thanks, Balin

Hi,

Anyone having this problem... can you please try this latest release:

http://www.personalgroupware.com/groupmanager/PGOffline-3-0-082.exe

Cheers,

Wilson.

The new version helped me.  Not sure if I was timing out and restarting because I'd just been trying to catch up some files since May....

(I think the "master login" wasn't putting the correct password in all the sub groups -- when i finally tried each subgroup with the password a lot of my problems of not being able to download went away.   :)

Hi Linda,

Thats an interesting observation. I will check to see if its being propogated correctly.
