Hi Ian,

Can you try it again? I'm in Scotland so we must be using the same servers and it works fine for me.

BTW I'm on 2.5.049

Cheers,

Hi Wilson
I'm have been getting the same thing for a couple of days.
Tired all the usual things, logging into Groups in  IE (7.0.5730.11) and leaving screen open etc.
I'm running 2.5.49 and have been for a couple of weeks.

Latest cut and paste.
31/12/2006 7:35:50 PM >  Set group's info (Bearhawk)
31/12/2006 7:35:50 PM >  Authorization started

I am getting the same error on my groups and here is my analysis.
In addition to the login screen, Yahoo has a second login screen that is called (in the code) an anti-phishing screen. When I go to Yahoo Groups after the
1/1/2007 6:50:46 PM >  Set group's info (xx)
1/1/2007 6:50:46 PM >  Authorization skipped
1/1/2007 6:50:47 PM >  Request number of messages
1/1/2007 6:50:51 PM >  Error : Invalid page format.
Messages
I see that I am signed in, yet I can not see my groups and  Yahoo asks me to sign in again. That new sign in screen does not have a check box to 'remember me' and once I fill that in and sign in again, I can see my groups. Then PG Offline works flawlessly for a while.

What we need is code in PG Offline to recognize this screen and fill it in.

Hi Gabe,

Is the group private or adult?  I'm not seeing a second login screen for my groups.

Where are you located?

Cheers,

Wilson.

I am seeing this error on non-adult sites, that are monitored, but only one is closed (non-published). I am located in Washington, DC in the USA where I pay taxes but am unable to vote because of living in the capital city.
A copy of what I see is at

Hi Gabe,

Can you try it again with 'Skip Authorization'  (in File-->Options--> Workflow) switched off?

Thanks,

Wilson.

gfineman

Thanks for the quick response. I have never had the 'skip authorization' box checked. Does PG Offline currently recognize this second level confirmation sign in request by Yahoo?
Re a previous question - my Yahoo Groups include several adult sites but they are not entered in PG Offline.

Michael,
Looking at your thread, it seems that you do, indeed have the same problem. What I do is to nightly go to groups.yahoo.com and if I am logged in but not seeing the groups, click on the big Sign In button and enter my password (my ID is pre-entered). If I do see the groups, I log out and log back in to reset the timers (that seem to be about a day). Of course, this defeats the purpose of the automatic downloads in PG Offline and fails (as over Xmas) when I was not at my computer nightly.

Note that Yahoo seems to keep track both by your IP address and by your browser. That is, Even if I can see the groups in Firefox, I am not see them in Internet Explorer. Of course, it is IE that is used by PG Groups and you must be in IE when you sign-in (above).

The solution is for PG Offline to recognize this new re-authorization screen and to click the button and re-enter the password. Hopefully, this will happen sooner rather than later.  Since this issue arose in November, I can only hope for the best.
