I've made one CD-ROM of all postings from a list for people without PG Offline, and without a daily need for it. I simply copied groups of 50 messages into a WORD document. No problem.

Now I must do the same for a list of, at present, 8,000 messages. That will require copying and inserting 160 packets of 50. Tedious work.

Is there a better way than the one I used?

If you have Acrobat, you can "print to PDF" and do it that way.

You might also be able to "print to file"?

i.e. select all messages, show selection as digest and then print?

Thanks, Linda.

I thought only 50 messages could be saved at a time, but have just managed to save 500 and it looks as if it might be possible to save more.

A new but related question.

I find that (strg in German) plus A does not mark a whole text, it looks for attachments.

Is there a PGO key combination for 'mark all'?

Dennis,

CTRL+ A where? In the message body, in the message or group list ?

Cheers,

Wilson.

If you have highlighted a message in the message area and try to do a Ctrl A to select all -- it looks for attachments.

(This has been true for a long time?)

Wilson,

What I want is a key combination when I'm in, say, the downloaded Dogme
list of 6,000 plus messages. I want to mark all 6,000, or a half or a quarter, so that I can copy in one command rather than doing them 50 or so at a time.

Hi Dennis,

You can use the 'Show as Digest'  feature & set the Messages per page to the max value of 1000. Not as good as 6000 but better than 50 in any case.

Cheers,

Wilson.
