Hi Wilson! Finally remembered my password for the Forum.
Anyway, here's the official request for a new way for the serial key to be generated.  Maybe you can use the BIOS or something similar since doing it off the hard drive makes upgrading a bit rough if you are going from three hard drives to just one

My idea is to have a web based registration where I send you a password & you can generate your own codes. Maybe in conjunction with something in the program that sends your details to my server so that you don't need to type them in.
