A possibly daft thought, what happens if uou try and install the patch (pgpatch25028) without first installing the base product, ???

Well... nothing should happen. The patch should recognise that the base product isn't there & give up at that point.

Assuming it doesn't check to see if PGO is already installed then it might install but there would be no database so it would then throw up some sort of error. Like:

"didnt find c:/programfiles/pgo"   for example.....
