Just downloaded this version and installed on Windows XP Pro SP3.  After launching program, nothing happens.  There is no program window shown and I don't see anything listed in the in the list of running tasks.  It's the first v4 Beta I have tried so I don't know if this also would have happened with previous betas or not.

Wilson Logan

Ummmm... I've had that happen to me with other programs but not PGO.

Please uninstall it, restart your PC, re-install it & let me know how you get on.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Windows 7 Pro 32 bit and PGO 569.  Loaded fine here.  One nitpick.  It reorders the groups names by ASCII (?) so groups starting with a large (capital) letter are listed before groups starting with a small letter.  It would be nice to have all groups listed in order whether the names are in large or small letters.  Just a little programming issue.

I'm using this new version and I want to enter the product registration, but the menu button is greyed out and can't be accessed.

I don't have any other copies of PGOffline installed, since I just did a clean install of Windows 7. I'm using 64-bit Windows 7. Might that be a problem?

Hi Brian,

Version 4 is currently a beta and the registration function has not yet been added.

To compensate it comes with a 90 day trial within which we hope to add registration and some other missing features.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Hi Wilson,

I wanted to check in again to report my results as I finally got around to reinstalling.

I owe you two apologies, one for taking so long to respond, and a second for reporting misleading information ... a bad combination of flaws!

In fact PGO is working fine.  The problem the first time was caused entirely by the specific operating environment on my computer and not by anything related to PGO.

It's working great!  And I thank you so much for your wonderful work!  :)

Is this the right place to report possible bugs?

I clicked the "Stats" button for one of the groups and then looked at the stats for my own messages.  It showed that I had 14 messages, first one being in 2007 and last one being in 2010.  There are clearly inaccuracies in that since I have had at least hundreds of messages including ones within the last week in that group.  I'm pretty sure I had more than 14 messages even in that period too.

The good news is that my recent messages are shown in the list, so hopefully the problem isn't that retrieved messages are being skipped but that the stats calculations are just not up to speed yet.

Hope this is helpful!  Thank again for your excellent work Wilson!  The message retrieval was as smooth as butter.  8)

Yes, I think the stats function hasn't been looked over yet.

Sadly, the downloading of files & photos and adding the licencing functionality will have to come first before we look at stats again.

Cheers,

Wilson.

That's certainly fine for me.  For my needs the stats feature is not necessary.

Reliably downloading messages, attachments, photos and files is far more important.

Thanks again!
