Can see message headers, can't see messages

I can see the groups, I can see the message headers, but when I click on a message to read it, this error message window pops up:  "Error during checking state of the message.  Error information: Path/File access error"

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times to no avail.

I had the ZeroAccess malware awhile back and am guessing that the damage came from it or from some of the programs I ran to remove it.

I am using Windows XP and PG Offline 3.0.84.  What can I do to restore PG Offline back to its working state without losing my downloaded groups?

I have used this program for years and it has been a great help in getting access to information that I need.

I appreciate any help you can give me!

Hi Pat,

I'll have to think about this error.

It might be best to transition to Version 4 now. A very useable beta is available:

www.personalgroupware.com/groupmanager/pg_offline_4_r370.zip  (1.2Mb)

You should unzip it into a folder (called anything sensible). There is no install file. You just navigate to the .exe file in

sensibly named folder/PG Offline/bin/Debug

and run it.

If you have existing messages you should be able to import your existing group database (ygroups.mdb) in Files--> Import from Folder.

Please let me know how you get on.

Cheers,

Wilson.
