I have just downloaded the latest version 063. Is this a true release or still beta.

I also note it installs in D&S folder. Is it possible to install elsewhere during installation.

Apparently we need to install to D&S folder to maintain compatibility with Vista.

However, there's nothing to stop you from making a copy of your database to anywhere you like, open that database from File--> Open Database and then its the default database that opens at startup. The old database can be deleted.

Just a final query. When you say it installs in the D&S folder do you mean that the database installs there or the database AND program files install there.

I would like to install the program files in the usual "Program Files" folder.

Hi Alan,

The program and database install to the D&S folder.

Basically its an issue with Vista. If you install anywhere apart from the D&S folder of the installing user, Vista kicks up and makes you run the program as the Administrator.

If you install under, say, XP and want it to be elsewhere, you can move it but you'll have to edit the registry. The keys are in:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\PG Offline
