Several years ago I reported a problem with the Stats Builder that causes a HUGE delay when trying to use it. Seems that it loaeds every message of every group on start up by default even though only one or a few groups are checked off.

Has this ever been addressed? Is there a way around it?

It sat there for 3 minutes ticking away hoging my PC loading 1000s of messages that I had no interest in.

Shouldn't it just open and then only load the groups that are checked off when actually started?

Hi Manfred,

I have 34 groups and the load takes about 30 seconds. In fact there is no opportunity to tick any of the groups until the load has completed.

I think the idea was, if the load doesn't take so long, it then allows you to compare any group to any other group without waiting. Horses for courses though isn't it? Depends on what kind of machine you have and how big your groups are. My personal preference is for the status quo but I can see why you'd want it to work as you describe.

Sadly, development on PGO has come to a bit of a halt as my programmer has got a better paid full time job. He is still providing emergency cover but no new development/improvement.

I've tried to engage someone else but the nature of PGO is that its going to a part time job at best. I've tried to get some IT contractors interested but I can't afford the really good ones and the cheap ones have all been totally unreliable.

My search continues, so if you know anyone with VB & C++ experience that'd like a bit of part time work, drop me a line!

Cheers,

Wilson.
