First of all, I'd like to say GOOD JOB AND GREAT SOFTWARE!!!   :D

I just installed the trial version 2 minutes ago, and I'm very pleased that I could backup a years worth of messages in literally minutes.  I am very impressed with the current features, but I think the folowing features would make the program AWESOME:

============
"Group by Topic"
============
PGOffline would be a true offline archival program if we would be able to view our downloaded message archive just like the way it's laid out with the "group by topic" feature in yahoo groups.  ("List as individual messages" is obviously taken care of very well already)

This means:

- Viewing topics in their full reply-hierarchy
- Internet forum style navigation e.g. topics are "bumped" to the top when somebody replies to them

=========
Multiple-sort
=========

This is probably an underlying feature that would make "group by topic" possible.  I was experimenting with the message list sort bars i.e. #, From, Subject, Received.

Test: I wanted to see if I could partially mimic the "group by topic" feature by doing a two-pass sort:

1) Sort by "Subject" first
2) Subsequent sort by "Received"

Unfortunately, I noticed that the program (ver 2.5.47) produces an unexpected result.

Keep up the good work!!!!

Cheers,

R

P.S. If this has already been discussed, disregard my post.

It has been discussed before but bears repeating:

Yahoo is semi-threaded. If you reply to a thread online Yahoo will thread it. If you post via email Yahoo will not thread it.

PGO actually achieves better threading by just using sort by topic.

If you sort by topic PGO *should* give you a default sort by date as well.

There is no facility to sort already sorted results in the message pane.

If you resort by any other heading that is the only sort you get. If you see what I mean.

BTW when you've done sort by topic, highlight all the topic messages and rightclick on them. Now choose 'Show selection as digest'. You *will* like it.

Cheers,

Wilson.
