TEST UPDATE DLL

Hi All,

We've got a first step going in the form of a DLL which will allow you to get messages in non-cached mode. This is just a test and not a final solution. If anyone would like to try it I'd be grateful. I've tried it myself and it works for me but it'd be good to get some "real world" testing.

If you're not technical or are not comfortable with these following instructions, please wait for the full version.

1) Download this DLL

http://www.wilsonlogan.com/groupmanager/yg_mr.dll

2) Copy it to your PGO install directory

3) Run PGO.

4) Set message caching off (File--> Options--> Download).

5) Try downloading a group.

I followed your instructions explicitly and no luck. PGO has been 'dead' for me (so to speak) since June 3, 2006.  Appreciate the effort

It worked for me, too, but it asked for my SMTP server, so I just left this blank. (I also made a copy of the old yg_mr.dll file just in case). Thanks for getting on this so quickly!

Wilson,
the dll worked fine here in non caching mode but I have been running in this mode for a couple of months.

The last two upgrades still haven't allowed me to run caching giving error messages.
