Wilson,

I'm back!! (Again).

I'm using 2.5.45 version of PGO, and in one group IRE_Potluck (invitation only) PGO reports "message does not exist from 7101 on. I'm going to try other groups and I'll report back.

Its a problem with Yahoo. PGO makes a valid request to get messages and Yahoo spits its dummy. They will fix it eventually.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Thank you. I did manage to finish downloading the group - It took a few days, though.

Wilson,

Just got the email about the yahoo patch. It figures that I'm finally caught up enough to play with my groups to see what is and isn't downloading, and Yahoo goes snafu!! Sigh...

Hi Wilson

I have two versions of PGO: 2.5.047 on my old Windows '98 system, and as of yesterday 2.5.045 on my new Windows XP Professional pc.

On the new system I successfully downloaded 7000 of 19,000 messages of a YahooGroup, then the system went into "Message does not exist"mode.  It actually downloaded a few around 18,000 while at the same time reporting those did not exist either!.  Since then it has been on total strike.

I checked my old system, having downloaded the latest patch and it's the same sad story.

Grateful if you could advise, ideally to PaminaM<at> aol.com.

Many thanks,
Pamina
(You have my private email which differs.)

PS
Sorry, it's the other way round:
2.5.045 on old and
2.5.047 on new system, but you probably worked that out!

Hi,

This is a problem with the Yahoo server software. Eventually they will upgrade it and you will be able to download this group. Best thing is try and find someone else in your group using PG Offline who is in a different geographical location and who will therefore be on a different server. They can get the download and send it to you as an archive file.

Is it a public group?

Cheers,

Wilson.
