Running count - totals count in Search

In Freecycle Network (TM) groups, we ask each poster to start the message subject line with a certain word.  Offer, Taken, Wanted are the basic standards to document the purpose of each message.

Group moderators would like to know the total count out of the total number of messages posted.  

Using PGOffline, a search of our 10,000+ messages pulls all the Offer messages out easily.  However, to count the total is difficult.  By counting the first 10% or the results a page at a time and estimating the balance with a ruler, I came up with about 4500 Offer messages.  

It would be nice to have a column in the search results which simply did a running count as the Search proceeded.  Then the last message found would have a number indicating the exact total.
