I switched to version 042 when it was announced and it has worked fine.

This morning I cannot receive any messages except from a German group. I suspect Yahoo have changed the page format slightly, though I cannot spot where.

I hope I am wrong and that the failure is particular to me. I shall keep on trying until I am certain, though I am pretty certain already! Sorry.

Here is some more info. The German group still works. All other groups behave like this:

I reset the start message number back 1 to 241 (so I know it exists) and clicked Start. The log showed this:

22.11.2005 08:45:45 >  Set group's info (zgaugebritishandeuropean)
22.11.2005 08:45:45 >  Authorization skipped
22.11.2005 08:45:46 >  Request number of messages
22.11.2005 08:45:50 >  Number of messages : 241
22.11.2005 08:45:50 >  Receive message : 241
22.11.2005 08:45:53 >  Error : Invalid page format.
22.11.2005 08:45:53 >  Re-request same message
22.11.2005 08:45:53 >  Receive message : 241
22.11.2005 08:45:53 >  Error : Message 241 not exist.
22.11.2005 08:45:53 >  Receive complete

and the start message number was now 242.

I tried with another group. Again I rest the start message back 1, this time to 2781 which I had already received. The log showed this:

22.11.2005 08:48:13 >  Set group's info (AVR-Chat)
22.11.2005 08:48:13 >  Authorization skipped
22.11.2005 08:48:14 >  Request number of messages
22.11.2005 08:48:16 >  Number of messages : 9786
22.11.2005 08:48:16 >  Receive message : 9781
22.11.2005 08:48:18 >  Error : Invalid page format.
22.11.2005 08:48:18 >  Re-request same message
22.11.2005 08:48:18 >  Receive message : 9781
22.11.2005 08:48:18 >  Error : Message 9781 not exist.
22.11.2005 08:48:18 >  Receive message : 9782
22.11.2005 08:48:18 >  Error : Message 9782 not exist.

22.11.2005 08:48:18 >  Receive complete

and the start message number was now 9787.

I rebooted my PC before I tried all that so I had a "clean" system.

Hey guys Mine was doing that too. I went in and Under File I clicked options and checked Skip authorization (under work flow  tab) and then unchecked  Enable message caching ( under the download tab) and all my groups downloaded. Try that and see if it helps with all you guys problems. and you will have to find your last good message # and reset the page number in  Settings.

I was getting Message not exist.. and  Invalid page formats before I tinkered with it now it works for me at least.

OK, I agree with Alex: unchecking  "Enable message caching" lets me get the messages. But obviously it is very slow and risks Yahoo's wrath. But at least this observation points to which Yahoo format has changed. I would like to switch message caching back on as soon as possible.

Yep, It does. I just tried to log onto my groups through Yahoo and have bee n locked out... So it does work but also has some risks.
