Crashing under Vista

Hi, Brad here.  I've not used pgoffline for some time and trying to reinstall and get started again.

Downloaded newest version and installed on my new Toshiba notebook running Vista.

First attempt stopped running after downloading around 30 to 60 messages from the Nikon40 group.  When I tried to restart the program, I first got : Copy protection check error.  Please contact your technical support.  Error Information: Permission Denied.

When I check OK, another message said:  This is an unregistered copy of PG Offline.  Evaluation period has expired.

When I checked OK, the program would start but would stop when I tried to view the few messages downloaded.

I then uninstalled the program and deleted the folder the data files were located in.

I then reinstalled the program by right clicking and running as administrator.  This seemed to work well.

I then started the program again by running as admistrator and was able to then download all 500+ messages in the Nikon40.  However if I try to delete a message or even sort the messages by clicking on one of the headers like Subject or Date, the program stops.

After I get the program running reliability, I'll need to get reregistered, but one step at a time.

Any help you can supply would be appreciated.  I did a search for Vista but didn't see anything.

With Wilson's instructions, I got the program registered.

Using the search function, I found the following would allow the program to run if started in adminsitrator:

1. Start Menu
2. Find PGOffline app in application list
3. Right click and Select Properties
4. Select Compatability tab
5. Tick "Disable Visual Themes"
6. Click Apply and then close

Finally, configured the startup shortcut to automatically run as administrator by:
1. Start Menu
2. Find PGOffline app in application list
3. Right click and Select Properties
4. Select Shortcut tab
5. Select Advanced button near the bottom
6. Check the Start as Administrator box
7. Click OK
8. When window closes, click Apply and then OK
9. Repeat to any other shortcut you may have to open PGOffline, example the one on the desktop if you have one there.
