Hi,

I read the FAQs and Help section about this problem, installed the Patch and now I can't get ANY group information to download. Prior to installing the patch, I had trouble with three groups. Now, none of them will populate. I tried toggling the "Skip Authorization" and logged in a separate window.

I did notice that the problem was happening with groups where I never "set a profile" because I joined via email subscription. Once I set the profile, I started to "receive" although each message showed the "Invalid page format" error message.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Wilson Logan

What version are you running and are all your groups private?

Have you tried downloading a public group?  What happens?

Cheers,

Wilson.

Hi, Wilson,

I got the same error message, too.  I'm running 2.5.0.47 and am member of six different groups (one doesn't have any messages, it's a subsidiary of another group and will only be used for photos).  I've been getting caught up on my downloading and got the first group to download the two new messages, then got the Invalid Page Format error on the next two groups.  I tried refreshing all my groups, which got through four and I got one of those nasty messages from WindowsXP that the program had caused an error and would be shut down, and did I want to send the report to the mother ship (aka MicroSoft).  I looked at the report to maybe be able to give you more info on the problem.  It said:  "ERROR SIGNATURE   ApName: PGOffLine25.exe   AppVer:2.5.0.47   ModName:  mscomctl.ocx   ModVer:  6.1.97.82   Offset:0001cee0"  It also gave the location of the error file, which I copied down and was going to include in an email but after the program was closed I opened explorer and went to the location but the file wasn't there.  Maybe the error reporting process erased the file after sending it to MS?

Further info:  I just reopened PGOffline and tried each group again.  The first group where I'd downloaded two messages earlier didn't have any new messages and didn't give me the error.  The next two gave me the Invalid Page Format error while the following group is happily downloading a bunch of messages.

After I finish this group I'll try the last one, then come back here and report.

Hi Wilson,

Well, I had another "shut down by WindowsXP" instance, but restarted and tried all my groups and they all downloaded and now I'm fully current in the database.  Don't you love these it happens sometimes and sometimes it doesn't type of problems?  My auto mechanic complains about them, too.  All if all, even with the occasional oops, I feel PGOffline is one of the best programs I've ever seen, and I've been using computers since 1985!

Hi Walter,

I'm glad you like it.

I created it because it was something I wanted to use. I'm glad I'm not alone!

Cheers,

Wilson.
