I'm new here so sorry if this request has been posted before:

It would be VERY nice to have the ability to create folders (in multiple levels) in each group for message sorting. Pretty much like you can do in i.e. outlook express (or windows explorer for files). One might think that the built in abilities to sort and search would be enough, but too many postings are on a totally different topic than the subject line implies. (Just think of all those starting with "Re: Digest #..."

Since many groups have thousands of messages I would find it extremely useful!

Mats

I would like this also. I might add, that it would be nice to create the folders under each group.

i.e. Group:Talk_Art / folder1: Tutorials/arcylic washes Folder 2: Artist websites and so on...

I had a similar idea shortly after I created PGO. I wanted to create what I call "Libraries" which are similar to folders but aren't limited by group or limited to just Yahoo groups. The idea is you can add any document or message or link to a document (or picture, video file, pdf, etc) and to each of these you can add your own notes. The idea was to create a "Library" of documents on a particluar subject. It wold be exportable to so you could share your Library or work on it together with someone else.

I'll maybe look out the full idea and let you see it.

Cheers,

Wilson.

why would we need to add any type of file? I'm not sure I'm following you on this one. I think I know - so that we can download (manually) the files, folders, etc for the group and add them to PGO? Just curious to see where your mind is going on this one.

Hi Tammi,

What I mean is that you add a file from another source e.g. lets say you have a group for knitting. You could add a Word document which lists your wool suppliers and PDF files of price lists you got from each  supplier.

What I'm saying is that you can add any file you created or any third party file or a link to any file/pic/resource on the net. Its not just a folder either. You create a top level description document in the library which has hyperlinks to all the other documents. Each library can have many top level description documents.

Cheers,

Wilson.
