the functions of import, new database, database - all greyed out

I am working under pressure here. This amazing program will really solve our sudden problem. Our list owner passed away :'( and there is no other moderator, so no one has control over the list. We are furiously trying to salvage the archives before something happens to the group...it's critical that we get this done fast. We have over 42,000 messages to save. I finally figured out how to download in small batches to prevent the lockout. With this last batch of 300, I highlighted them all, then opened up the File menu to put them into the database, but all the choices in the File pull down menu are deactivated except for Master Logon, compact Database, and Options. Any ideas? What is the best way to get all these messages into one database, and why is that function now deactivated? I created one database with the first batch of messages. Should each batch be a new database, or do I add them to the first one I created? ???

Hi,

If you're using 2.5.043 you should be able to get all 42,000 in one go. Two at the very most.

Once downloaded, if you can see the messages, they are in the database.  Thats it. You don't need to do anything else.
