I have the program set to auto download. when I close the program, I cannot reopen it. I know that it is running in the background as when I hit Ctrl alt del it shows it. But where is it and how can I reopen it?
 Thanks ALex

I seemed to have fixed it by taking out all the microsoft access pages, downloading a new copy and then putting the pages back. It did not work so I switched the pages back to the original download. This allowed me to open the program and uncheck the  Intital wait... download # messages and  reset to speed limit.  I then Returned my copies of access and everything is working again. And this time I lost no data!

Could we do something about it though it;s a lot of work to get it back!

Hi Alex,

When you close the program it should close & not be running anywhere i.e. no entry in task manager.

How are you 'closing' the program ?

Thanks,

Wilson.

Simply by using the x on the program! It only happens when I have the download set for auto download wait x min get x number of messages then wait x min.  I just had to do it again a few min ago. So I know it is still doing it. I remove the pages then it opens again so i can uncheck the boxes on the download stuff. then I can add the page back. I really do not know why it is doing that?

Hi Alex,

I'm with you till you say

"I remove the pages"

Sorry... what are you removing? Where from? Can you send me some screenshots? That would be very helpfull.

Screen shots of it I do not have. I remove the files.......microsoft access ones inside the program.  by going to c: program files and clicking on the pgoffline  folder. inside are the ygroups ( not exact file name but close) I could not remember the real name. or the file that saves the groups info.  after that file is removed the program will reopen and I can reset the download to  speed limit as apposed to the lower check box. Does that make sense?

Let me know......Because even I am confused on this one.

Hi Alex,

OK.... are you opening the Access database & deleting parts of it or deleting the entire database? If you're just deleting a table, which one are you deleting?

Frankly... you're the only person to experience this. I would suggest that you backup your data, uninstall the program, shutdown, restart and re-install.

BTW which version are you running?

Cheers,

Wilson.

No, I am not deleting anything....just moving the access files out of the program.  restarting  Pgoffline and then after it opens up I have access to the download options under File- option- download tab. Then I have to uncheck the Repeat option and it works fine. It seems to do this only when I close it and the Repeat option is still running. Right now I have the Newest version and waiting for a Registration code so that I can have the Registered version. Sent an email about it.  You should have an email from me about the registration.

Alex,
I'm a bit lost as to what all you're doing, but I thought I would throw out this idea just in case it applies.

I have PGO set to go to the system tray when I minimize the window.  Most of the time, to bring it back, I just double click the icon in the tray.  Sometimes, however,  that does not work.  What I have found is that the program's download has timed out waiting for a Yahoo response, and a pop-up box has come up that asks if I want to wait or stop.  Often, I do not ever see the pop-up until I close or minimize all my other windows.  Once I have chosen Wait or Stop, I can re-open PGO.

Could this be related to your problem?

I'm noticing that when I close the application, it stays around in Task Manager.  This is on both Windows XP and Windows 2000 Advanced Server.  I'm using the trial version, and have ver 2.5.17.  I close the app by either ALT+F4 or clicking the X.  It only seems to do this after having been running for a while (more than a few hours, but less than 12).  After I close it, I double check Task Manager, it's not only sitting in the Processes list, but even in the Applications list.  I can easily End Task on it, but I hate to do this with the fragility of MS Access databases.

Any thoughts?
