Hi,

It would be nice if the positions and sort order in the subject window would be saved
when you switch between the groups or exit PGO.
At least it could be an option.

Regards,

Peter

Peter,

Agreed. I'll look into it.

I've just noticed the new version so I tried it. Oh dear!

I thought:
(a) it would remember a different sort order for each group, but no, the same sort order is used for every group. That's not what I expected nor need.
(b) it would remember the position in each group (which was the original request), but no, it always starts at the top of the group.

What I expected is this: when I switch between groups, each group is displayed how I saw it last time - same sort order, same position, same message highlighted. Obviously new messages affect this: they would be at the tail end of the display as at present.

If that is not possible (I can imagine it isn't!), I would like an option that positions a file at the first new message when I open the group. That would save me a lot of time!

Thanks, Jeremy.

Jeremy,

Yes, I agree. It shall be as you command !

Cheers,

Wilson.

OK, I think we've got it this time:

You need to tick 'Use selected sort order for new message show' if you want new messages to be sorted into the group. Otherwise they will be tagged on at the end. Choosing this option slows your download as PGO has to merge/sort new messages into the group on the fly.

Version 2.5.21
- Now sort order will be saved independently for each of the groups

Version 2.5.20
- Ability to show new messages using current sort order was added

Version 2.5.19
- Database size warning was added
- Compact database feature was added
- Groups setting can be opened using double click on the group name now
- Outlook shutdown bug was fixed

Version 2.5.18
- Save sort order feature was added

Cheers,

Wilson.

BTW another new feature is the ability to set a warning when your database reaches a certain size.

As you can see in the screenshot above you need to tick the 'Show database full warning at' option in File--> Options --> Miscellaneous.

To reduce database size you should use the File--> Compact Database option.

Cheers,

Wilson.
