Can not create file : Empty path name is not legal

"Can not create file  : Empty path name is not legal."
I keep getting this message. What file is the program trying to create, and where, and do I even need it?
Messages are being downloaded from yahoogroups, but I dont know where they are going

It might be the traffic file.

File-- > Options -- > Miscellaneous. 

Untick the events & traffic files options.
