Digest view-not responding

I am trying to do the export to HTML. I have about 5000 messages, did the select all, view as digest, changed number per page to 5000, and now I get "Digest for [my group] (Not Responding)", with the spinner. If the screen seems to clear and I try to right-click, it goes back to the spinner on a whited screen. Any suggestions?

Its a very resource intensive task. For 5000 records I would expect to wait maybe 15 minutes on my machine.

You only need to do it once so, its worth the wait.

You can either try it on a more powerful PC  (not very practical!)  or you can reduce the page size.

Maybe try 1000 to start with instead of 5000. 

Work your way up to a value you are comfortable with.
