Now, you want to be a bit careful. As I mentioned before, the way PGO handles databases and archives has been updated.

In the past it was hard to tell an archive from a database. To end this confusion we have implmented a system whereby

archives are now .pg4 files and databases are .db3 files.

r836 will do a database structure update on any old databases or archives that it finds.

ALL LEGACY ARCHIVE FILES WILL BE TAGGED AS DATABASES.

This shouldn't affect how you can use them. You can import from databases or archives.

The only real thing you need to watch is that IF you have created an archive and THEN at some point decided to use it as a database (which PGO used to let you), you will now have your LOGIN details in the archive file.

Do not share this file with anyone you do not wish to see your LOGIN details as these are held in the database.

This is one reason I have decided to keep the functionality of archives and databases separate.

If for some reason r836 is unable to upgrade your current database format, please contact me immediately.
