Hi - I have used PGO for years - Thank You for providing it - Unfortunately the combined circumstances of V3 no longer being supported, V4 not being viable and yahoo messing with formats has made it impossible to easily access Groups.

I need to access my existing stored data using V3 but it reports as 'expired' and no longer works. Please ! is there any way to  make this happen ? Has anyone hacked a way to force v3 into at least read only mode ?

Hi Manfred,

You could download the Lite version of V3 which has no licencing.

http://www.personalgroupware.com/groupmanager/setupPGOLite.exe

However, V4 *will* open your old messages. Do File--> Open Database and navigate to your old ygroups.mdb file.

Or File--> Import from Folder.

Cheers,

Wilson.

I could not get V4 to read my old data groups.

I tried opening directly (had to show *.* as the set of files)

and it says:  SQL error, file is encrypted or not a database.

I tried import from folder and that says PGOffline has stopped working.

I hadn't tried this until just now and get the same errors.  This brings up another question.  Is there any problem having V4 Beta and V3 Lite both installed?  Or will I need to use another computer?  I seem to remember that they install in different folders, but not sure about the support files; dll, etc.

Hi Duane,

You can install V4, V3 & V3 Lite concurrently on the same machine without problems.

Cheers,

Wilson.
