Finally I've found someone to take over from Alex as developer for PGO.

His name is Matti and he comes from Finland.

He has revamped PGO with an eye to fixing some of the more annoying bugs like having to disable Themes in XP and having to run as Administrator in Vista.

Get Groups List & Get Members now works in both Vista and XP.

There is now support for Russian, Greek, Turkish and Hebrew fonts and, this is what I like best, when you click on a link in a message, the link opens, in the message. I was just watching a YouTube video in the PGO message window. Now that is nice.

Anyway... to the nitty gritty... the new version installs to the Users folder in Vista or Documents and Settings folder in XP. This means that you don't need to worry about the new version overwriting the old and indeed you can have both the old and new versions on the machine simultaneously.

If you decide that you like the new version best, I suggest you simply copy your old ygroups.mdb (database file with all messages, in C:/Program Files/PG Offline) on top of the new ygroups.mdb. When you install the program make a note of where the install folder is so you know where to copy to. If you get lost just do a Windows Search for Files & Folders on 'ygroups.mdb'.

This version *should* be clean but treat it as a beta. Please report any bugs on the forum or to me directly.

Cheers,

Wilson.
