Reinstalling the programme

I have recently changed my laptop and reinstalled the programme.  No problem there and it works but I can't seem to register it to make it a full copy.  The old serial number doesn't work and if I request a new one, it simply says its invalid and I get a message saying I haven't completed payment and keeps wanting to send me off to Paypal.  I did pay back in July and am really annoyed about this as the only solution I can see at the moment is to pay again!
