Display and Crash problems

Hi, I've been deleting spam messages within groups and have a problem with the following:

Messeges with links and imbedded graphics freeze my PC upon display taking 90% of my cpu for the better part of a minute.

At times an crash happens. Here's a sample of the errors:

Hi Manfred,

Got this from the net "MSVBVM60.DLL - This is caused by the same file sharing programs. If you open up Internet Explorer and from across the top click Tools > Internet Options. Select the "Advanced" tab in the Internet Options Window that has just opened. Scroll down the list until you see "Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)", uncheck that option. Reboot & retry application"

Sounds plausible.
