Yo!Wilson,
I broke it! Re-started after a re-boot and got the following error:

Error During Load yg_mr.dll
Error Information: File not found yg_mr.dll

Re-installed PG over existing install, no problem (pgoffline-2-0-150.exe), it starts. Install patch (pgpatch25017.exe OR pgpatch25021.exe) and get the following error:

"Please close all running instances of the PG Offline before install"

Trouble is...it's not running!

2-0-150 can't load groups so I've got a crippled app....

Adrian,

Where did you get 2.0.150 from? Thats the version from the dark ages. I'm not 100% surprised that patching is a problem.

Please DL the full app from the downloads page & install that. Expect problems... the database format has been changed about 5 times between 2.0.150 & 2.5.021

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers,

Wilson.

It's what tucows.com had on their server for download...

Doesn't work. I'm geting the same error:

"Please close all running instances of the PG Offline before install"

This is using "PGOffline-2-5-017.exe". I've un-installed all instances and re-booted. Looks like I need to manually delete the reg key(s)..? So where are they..?

The reg key is

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\PG Offline]

No such luck...the reg key has been deleted, system re-booted and I'm still getting the same error msg.

I've checked the task mangler to see what's running and don't see anything obvious related to PGO. Any other ideas..? Throw them my way as I'd like to get the app running again...

PGOffline-2-5-017.exe
WIN XP Pro SP1

BTW, did you see private mail I sent you...?

About marketing? Yes & I replied to it.

I'll ask Alex about your problem.

Yo!Wilson,
Any ideas about this..? I still can't get it to run. Is there a list of the installed files..? Like .dll's..? I'll go and manually delete the little bastards if I have to!

Yo!Adrian

Adrian,

My advice is, re-install 2.0.150, export your groups, un-install PGO completely. Re-boot. Do a full install of 2.5.021 & import your groups.

Please let me know if that works.

Cheers,

 Wilson.

Been there, done that, didn't work. During my fustration I attempted to install under 2 different profiles on my PC (XP Pro/SP1), what are the chances that "stuff" has been left under the profiles somewhere?

I did a registry search and can't find any Reg Keys, can you give me a list of all installed files? I suspect a leftover .dll is being loaded at start up, that's why it keeps telling me to shut down already running version before install. Whadaya think?

I'm going to run HijackThis and see if it can find anythink...

Hi Adrian,

You'll need to manually delete [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\PG Offline] from the registry. You can use Start--> Run--> regedit to edit the registry.

Cheers,

Wilson.

yo_adrian_eh

You said remove:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\PG Offline]

It's already gone, was deleted the 1st time I did this a couple of weeks ago. So again I'll ask "can you give me a list of all installed files?" 'cause this is now getting to be an exercise in frustration. If you don't want to post the file list on the board, then ping me private with it?

OK, the regedit thing has worked for other people in the past reporting this problem.

I can't tell you about dlls cause I'm not the developer. I will ask him right now though.

For future reference, if you've not already got Process Explorer from Sysinternals, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Its only 280kb & its free!

cool app! still can't see anything.....it must be right in front of my nose!!

Wilson Logan

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. The developer is AWOL :)

I'm sure he'll turn up soon!

Cheers,

Wilson.
