Hmmm... I think that either Yahoo system is slow or unavailable or your connection is poor.

Please try again in a few hours.

If you continue to have this problem, please let me know:

hi wilson
i can browse yahoogroups quite smoothly from my browser. so i can't doubt my connection capabilities :-)

Please check that your login details are correct in File--> Master Login.

Ensure that your password contains only alphanumeric characters.

If all seems OK & you still have trouble you can switch from PGO doing the authorisation to using the cached Yahoo authorisation in your browser. To do this choose Skip Authorisation in the File--> Options--> Workflow tab.

Cheers,

Wilson.

i rechecked my Master login/pass and its correct
then loggedin through browser and set "Skip Authorization" to ON
still. it ain't work. below is log

Sadly, the developer is away till next week so I can't ask him whats happening.

Have you tried adding groups manually?  Groups--> New Group or Ctrl+N

Cheers,

Wilson.

Hammad

No problem wilson.
i've already tried manually adding groups as well.

as i am a developer my self. i'll try making a new system in in the meantime ;)

BTW... are you running a firewall?

Hammad

No i am not behind firewall.
but i am using an ISA proxy server (connecting to port 8080)

just for your information, there are other softwares which dont work on my pc ordinarily, but when i enter Proxy Info (ISA:8080) in them, i could get them work.

unfortuntely, Pg offline doesn't seem to have such option :(

Wilson Logan

Hi Hammad,

PG Offline has no proxy support. It might get added later, but being honest, its not a priority.

Cheers,

  Wilson.

I got timeout error messages when I mistakenly told PG Offline the group name was "Sprouting" when the actual yahoo group name was "sprouting".  Evidently the group names are case sensitive.  I was able to import the group with the ending message at #169 from the PG website.  Yahoo always timed out at message #170 until I deleted the group on PG Offline and recreated it with the proper spelling. Then I just re-imported the group. Works fine now.
