Highlighted search words in URLs

I love the highlighted search words!  Really, I do.  Except when they fall within a URL as the URL is then broken.

Example:  Searched for the word 'smalti'.
Found a message with the URL "http://photos.yahoo.com/mosaicsmalti" of which the smalti is highlighted.  
Click on the URL and the URL that shows in the Address bar is "http://photos.yahoo.com/mosaic<span%20style='background-color:#000075;%20color:#ffffff'><b>smalti</b></span>" and that doesn't go anywhere.
