Is there a way to mass-delete groups from a database?

Hi,

I'm sorting through my databases to clear out blank groups (since I cloned my main List file, there are 400+ per clone with maybe 200 blank ones or duplicates of ones that were downloaded in another database). It seems that I can't select multiple groups to delete at a time, and so I have to go one-by-one, right-clicking and confirming to delete each of them. I'm wondering if there's a way to delete multiple groups at a time in PG Offline. It would be super useful.

This program is end-of-life so we're not going to be making any changes.

What you could do is rather than copy a full database, copy an empty one.

You can mass load a database from another database.

So, make a new, empty database, add just the groups you want from the List function and then import the actual messages from your main database which you can do en mass.

Hi,
What would you recommend one do if, now that the list function no longer works, I wanted to "merge" all of my message archives into one .db3 for export purposes? Manually add each one (300+) to the blank database using Add Group so that I can import from my assorted databases, or is there a different way of doing this for larger projects?

Thanks,

The bigger your db gets the slower it will be.....

Anyway, you can add manually OR...  you can 'poke' the db manually.

You want the discussion_group table.

You can just add entries manually. Very fast.

When you see the table it will be immediately apparent what to do.

Use SQLiteStudio.  Its a free SQLite database editor.
