Trial user.  Have downloaded successfully on several occasions (so far approx 50K messages) but recently have been unable to download further.

Instead I get the following message: "Login failed. Either you have the wrong username & password OR you have two factor authentication switched on. In Yahoo Groups, please set two factor authentication to 'OFF'. More information can be found here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN5013.html".

I have not changed any settings since the last successful download (I have changed country, but that is probably just a coincidence).

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Jon,

Please upgrade to the next version which should fix the problem.

Hi Wilson

I'm having exactly the same problem again.  Last time it coincided with a move from one country to another, but there has been no such move this time.

Any suggestions?

Jon

Problem seems to have been resolved.  Now downloading as usual.

Odd.

I have seen cases where the first login attempt fails but the second works.

Hi Wilson,

I am having the same issue now with the error message. I just downloaded and installed ver 822 and tried multiple times to download my groups. I have verified my user name/password and also that two-step verification is turned off.
