When I select a group, list, Select All, then Download.  It proceeds to download all the files listed, unlike the photos section that only downloads one's that aren't already in the folder on the local drive.

This issue is resolved in 4-0-82. If the File folder has no new files it is greyed out (see attached) and there is a message in the status pane for each found, duplicate file (I'll ask Lena to fix the error message text!)

Wilson,

I wish I was getting that.  None of the check boxes are greyed out for me.

Hi Greg,

It is 4-0-842 you have?   The screenshot you attached is cut off just after "84".

What is in the status pane?

Also what is in the Files folder for this particular group?

The folder which contains the files should be:

C:/user/<your_user_name/Appdata/Local/PG Offline 4/Files/<your_group_name>

The easiest way to check this is to select the group and click on the Files button. That opens the Files folder for the group in a Windows Explorer dialogue.

Or choose File--> Open Data Folder.

PGO doesn't actually know what files are 'new'. It has to compare the files it finds with the files it has already downloaded. So if they are not in the folder PGO expects them to be in, it counts any it cannot match as new.

The status pane should report any duplicate files it finds.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Wilson,

I've got the files located in the default location, c:\users\xxxxxxxxxx\appdata\local\pgoffline.

I'm only running version 4.0.840.  That's the latest available via the forums "Minor update 4.0.840".

Downloading the .842 version fixed it.  I now have shadowed folders where the files have already downloaded.

Thank You.

I am still showing files that need to be downloaded, but it fails when I attempt to download them.  They're coming from https://xa.yimg.com/df.

I've attached the window information on it.

I can web browse to the group, see and download the file.  If I locate it in the correct directory, then it shows it being already downloaded and won't try again.

Hi Greg,

There is an issue with Yahoo allowing filenames that are not allowed in Windows.

The file you wish to save has an illegal character in its name, that being "?"

I have noticed this myself and Lena and I will have to have a conversation as to how to store these files with a common naming convention that does not break Windows file naming.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Yes.  They either have it in the file name or path.

Thanks again,

Greg
