Title: subject list order

When listing by subject it does a good job at putting threads in order alphabetically.  Perhaps another option to put the threads in order chronologically.

It sorts the threads first by subject and then does a secondary sort by date thus:

Subject      Date

Hi               Thu 23rd    01:00 PM
Re: Hi         Fri 24th      02:01 PM
re: Hi          Fri 24th      03:45 PM
Re:RE: Hi    Fri 24th      03:46 PM

Internally PGO lists all these messages with the same subject 'Hi'. It ignores all occurances of 'Re', 'RE:', 'Re:re', 'Fwd:', etc.

I'm going to add something here that maybe what the original poster was asking for, if not, it's what I would like to see:

Sort by subject then by date, but sort the major threads by date so the thread starting messages are in chronological order, not alphabetic as they end up now.  Then the replies will be in chrono order below the thread starting message.

It's been almost a year since this came up and it doesn't look like it's been implemented yet, so I'm just giving the idea a "keep alive" post.  :o

Sorry that should have been in the last release. In between times I've forgotten what it was you meant. Can you give me an example (screen print perhaps?).

I'll try this, can't figure out how to get you a screenshot.  The way it works now, threads starting with "G before H"  would come before threads starting with "Hi", because G comes before H.  What I am looking for is to sort all the thread subjects like it is right now, then re-sort each thread group (of messages) by the date of the starting thread.  PGO is sorting by subject/thread great right now, and leaving the threads in alphabetical order.  I would like to see the threads then sorted by the date/time of the thread starting message.

I'll e-mail you a screenshot I just did.
