Wilson,
Things have been going along so great that I hate to contemplate what might happen after the remodel is done.

If I remember right, though, the new language ought to make it easier to write the code to parse the messages.
All the best,
Scott
Oh crud....
I hate when they do that. Lets just hope that they offer a 'classic interface' until they're finished mucking about with the new one.
Cheers,
Wilson.
Let's please hope they offer a classic view -- I hate the new one. Two groups of mine have been switched over and invalid page format error, of course.....
Yes the Smart and Brown lathe group has changed over, "Invalid page Format" now reported.
This change looks serious in that so far I have seen no one who has agreed or liked the changes, quite the opposite.
I can see people not using these groups as much because of the changes, can't see yahoo back pedalling.
I own three groups on Yahoo and if these changes stay I'll probably close one [ little traffic ] and move two over to web based servers.

Hmmm... I predict a rash of owners lining up for my Yahoo to PhpBB convertor.
The new format is.... not an improvement in my opinion. The reduction of messages on the page is a right PITA for PGO.
Being reduced to getting 5 messages at a time is going to be a pest.
Cheers,
Wilson.
you have a yahoo to phpbb converter?
yahoo is not going down that road, or at least going down it optionally:

(is there any advantage or disadvantage to a phpbb?)

Hi Linda,
phpBB is a forum board, very much like this User forum board (which is SMF).
The advantage is that its 100% controlled by the group owner and they decide if changes are required.
It is interesting and not unentirely surprising that Yahoo are backing down. Judging by feedback I've had no one thinks the new Yahoo look is an improvement.
Clearly however, Yahoo do not make changes for the fun of it. They do it to 'enhance revenue' and as thats the goal, it isn't going to go away any time soon.
However, I'm glad they've backed down.
Cheers,
Wilson.
