Title: Logfile write error
Post by: roga danar on August 27, 2009, 06:58:14 PM
Greetings to you Wilson:

I did some computer bloat removing and have caused this error message:

Logfile write error.  Error Information: Activex component can't create object.

PGO shows this message at startup, message retrieval, and at shutdown.

It does appear that all the messages are retrieved, but I get this error in between each message and have to hit the ok button for it to continue.

I know that I caused this but, do you have any ideas on how to correct this? ;D

Hi Roga,

Maybe re-install PGO. If that doesn't help, have you un-installed anything related to VB or IE?

Cheers,

Wilson.

Hey Wilson.  Thanks for the reply.

Yea.  Already did the uninstall and re-install.  That did cut down on the number of times the error is encountered.  But did not stop them completely.

Since I'm no a VB user, I probably did delete some files that were associated with VB.  Any ideas on which files PGO needs to function.

So far, PGO is the only app giving an error message.  So far. ::)

Hi,

Maybe try and install the VB runtime files from Microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=bf9a24f9-b5c5-48f4-8edd-cdf2d29a79d5&displaylang=en

Works on everything except Vista. Which OS do you have?

Cheers,

Wilson.
