Title: Can't import database
Post by: GlenBA on March 11, 2004, 03:26:07 PM
When I try to import any database I get the error box pop up with the message

Error during import of the 'CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO' group.
Error information: Item not found in this collection.

The Groups Import dialog box reads Current Message: 1

PG Offline Version 2.0.167, evaluation copy.
Windows XP Pro, all updates.

I have tried to import other databases, much smaller than the CAD_CAM one, with the same results.

What settings of import you have selected (Import all selected messages / Import favorites only / Import favorites IDs only; Import Favorite status)?

Alex, Glen,

I think its an incompatability between the archive file which was created with version 2.0.140 something & the latest database format. I am updating the archives to the latest format & re-uploading them as quick as I can but they're big files.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Glen,

I may be talking crap. Did you try to download the supplementary CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO archive file? The one thats 13.6Mb? That *should* work as it was created very recently.

I'm uploading the original file now. It will take about an hour.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Glen,

Can you provide problematic archive? I am sure we can test it and fix incompatability problem. Can you upload it to ftp://195.5.16.202/upload/ or give me link?

Alex,

There is database incompatability between versions 157 & 167 because of the the changes to include real dates etc.

I have installed version 157, loaded the archives, installed the 167 patch which updates the database & then re-exported the archives. This updates the format but it would be better if the latest version would recognise old database format archives & automatically convert them when they are being imported.

Cheers,

Wilson.
