Hi,
I have the same problem and it does not go away.
Since August 28 I cannot download any more messages.
Please help.
Robert
Hi Robert,
The procedure is this:
You give me the name of a public group from your list so that I can try to download it. If I also can't download it then thats good. I can carry on testing myself.
If I can download it then I'll need to you to run PG Offline in Debug mode. This lets you dump the session to a file. I can then compare what you're downloading against what I'm downloading.
To start debug mode:
In Windows do Start--> Run and type
cmd
in the field. Hit enter. You will be taken to a DOS window.
Please download and unzip this file:
http://www.pgoffline.com/groupmanager/pgo.zip
to C:\pgo.bat
Run the .bat file by typing
C:\pgo.bat
at the command prompt in the DOS window. This will start PG Offline in debug mode.
Do your Get Groups and/or Refresh as normal. Once you have generated some errors close PGO.
Now go to the folder C:\Program Files\PG Offline\Log and there will be HTML files of your session(s) there. Zip up the html files and mail them to me.
Thanks,
Wilson.
Hi
I'm getting the same message although mainly on one group Wabeco. This also happens to be the last group in the list

Peter
Hi Peter,
With 'Skip Authorization' switched on, I am able to get some groups. Now I'd have expected that I would only be able ot get groups with public archives but this is not the case. It appears to be mixed. I can get some groups which have public archives and some which are private.
Can you all check to see, if you can get any groups, if the groups you can get are public or not.
Thanks,
Wilson.
Hi All,
A bit of an update... I started PGO this morning and ran a Refresh. It was as before. Only some groups can be downloaded. I stopped the Refresh, started IE and logged into Yahoo groups to check the status of the groups I was getting ( Public or Private ). It turns out that I can only download the public groups. This makes sense if the issue is the Yahoo logon.
Anyway, here's the interesting bit... I started another Refresh and lo & behold, I was getting everything!
BTW I have 'Skip Authorization' switched ON.
Cheers,
Wilson.
Hi Logan
All my goups are private. The downloading seems irregular. It skips some groups and updates others. I've just tried logging in to Yahoo via the web and then refreshing and all my groups were updated properly and I didn't get the Invalid page fault error. So it is clearly an authentication problem.
Regards
peter
I was able to download approx 4000 or approx 6000 messages from my yahoogroup, but the last 2000 I keep getting the invalid page format error. I've tried logging out of yahoo, closing IE, clearing cache/cookies, reopening and relogging in to yahoo and have tried with the PG option for skipping authorization both on and off. The messages are there, I can see them in the group, and they are the same format as the first 4000........
Any other guesses/recommendations on how to resolve this?
EDIT:
OS: Win XP
IP: Bellsouth DSL Extreme w/static IP
PGO: version 2.5.49
updated/edited above to provide OS/IP/PGO version...
Please mail me with the group name and I'll try it.

I had also been having the same "Error: invalid page format" problem since early September. Ticking the Skip Authorisation worked for me.

Wilson,
Hi. I've been having the invalid page format, too, for nearly all of about 50 lists. Will send an email. Dennis
Hi Dennis,
Got it. Did you get my reply?
Cheers,
Wilson.
So I got invalid page format again this morning - I guess my two weeks is up! This is what I had to do to get going again: I ran PGO in debug mode. I opened the invalid page from the log file with IE (opening with FF did not do the trick). Yahoo was asking for my password, so I typed my password and, bingo, PGO could access the messages. Weird?
Hi, not posted on here before but have used PG Offline for about a year.
Having the same problem as described in this thread: Invalid page format for all my groups (public and private). Tried ticking the Skip Authorisation box and was able to download some messages from some groups but not most.
I've also tried logging into yahoo groups through IE7 first and then going into the actual group and then clicking Start but am still getting the Invalid page format message.
I can't see that yahoo has changed the format but maybe it's a subtle difference?

Hi Wilson,
I'm having the same problem- the groups to which I subscribe are all set to private and I haven't been able to download anything since the 9th of September. I've tried the skip authorisation and login tips to no avail- any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Graham.
Hi All,
This is working for me and some others:
Please check that:
1) You have 'Skip Authorization' switched ON i.e. the box is ticked.
2) You have logged in to Yahoo groups using Internet Explorer (NOT Firefox).
3) Start PG Offline
4) Try a Refresh.
If anyone is able using this procedure to get some but not all groups, can you check to see if the groups you can't get are private or public or a mix of both.
Thanks,
Wilson.
Wilson,
Fantastic! I hadn't tried logging in with IE- much as I dislike the browser, it's sorted the problem.
Thanks,
Graham.

Hi Wilson,
I tried this but can only intermitently receive my public groups. All my private groups still get the Invalid page format message.
Any ideas as to what may be wrong.
Many thanks
Gary
Hi Gary,
If you've followed the instructions there shouldn't be a problem.
Can you run a debug session? To do this, please download and unzip this file:
http://www.pgoffline.com/groupmanager/pgo.zip
to C:/pgo.bat.
Then in Windows do Start--> Run and type
cmd
in the field. Hit enter. You will be taken to a DOS window.
Run the batch file by typing C:/pgo.bat at the command prompt (looks like this > ) in the DOS window which will start PG Offline in debug mode. Try to do a download of a problem group so that you get the 'Invalid Page Format' error. Once you get the error you can stop PG Offline.
Now go to the folder C:/Program Files/PG Offline/Log and there will be at least one HTML file there. Can you please zip up the HTML file(s) and send them to me?
Thanks,
Wilson.
Hi,
This is the first time I've posted, just found this group.
I have always had the "Invalid page format error" and pgoffline frequently crashes and I have to restart it. So the package has been very unreliable for me. I have version 2.5.49 of pgoffline and version 7 of Internet explorer.
I have the trial version which will run out in 3 days, I would like to keep it but it's so unstable that unless something changes I'll have to stop using it.
Where do you go to set the 'Skip Authorization' switched ON i.e. the box is ticked.
John
Hi John,
In File--> Options --> Workflow.
What OS are you running? What crash are you getting? You should run PGO in windows compatibility mode and disable Visual Themes.
Please see this excellent post by Brad:

Wilson,
Could you email me off list? Osiris20672002 @ Yahoo.com ? I need a bit of help with getting pgoffline off one computer and into another one without loosing my huge downloaded messages.
I will also need to know how to register on a new PC. Thanks in advance,
Alan Keener
Hi Alan,
To move PGO from one machine to another, first install PGO on the target machine. Then copy the file 'ygroups.mdb' (the main database file for PG Offline found in folder C:\Program Files\PG Offline\) to the same folder in the target machine. There will already exist a 'ygroups.mdb' file on the target machine after PGO installation but it will be empty. Just overwrite it with the 'ygroups.mdb' file from the source machine.
To register you need to:
) From the Help menu choose 'Product Registration'.
2) Fill in the UserName, Company, e-mail fields & Old Individual Registration Number fields. Capitalisation is significant. I recommend you cut & paste.
3) Choose 'Get New Individual Registration Number ', (not 'Get Individual Registration Number ')
4) Write the new Reg code down. That way if your PC crashes & you need to re-install you will know what your details & code are.
Cheers,
Wilson.
