Title: Get group's list = Invalid page format
Post by: monte on December 02, 2006, 08:05:32 PM
Just tried to get my group's list so I can add a couple groups, I got the Invalid page format error.  I can download at least one group that I tried.  2.5.47 with the new dll.  I've also logged in with IE 6.0.xxxx.  Haven't been on the forum for several months so I might not be totally up to date on all the latest.

Thanks,
Monte

Hi Monte,

Maybe try 2.5.049?

http://www.pgoffline.com/groupmanager/PGOffline-2-5-049.exe

http://www.pgoffline.com/groupmanager/pgpatch25049.exe

Version 2.5.49
- Parser is updated according to changes in language-specific groups
(read - redirect error)

Version 2.5.48
- Change in Skip Authorization mode  (turns it off when you uncheck the box)
- Change in Search facility (removes obsolete 'exact match' button)

If you're a member of a group already you could add it manually from Groups--> New Group.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Hi Wilson--

This software is great-- exactly what I was looking for.  I've already backed up two different private yahoogroups i'm on.  Unfortunately, I've run into some problems with another one.  I'm on WinXP, using PGOffline v.2.5.49.

Log says:
1/5/2007 1:50:48 PM >  Set group's info (xxxxxx)
1/5/2007 1:50:48 PM >  Authorization started
1/5/2007 1:50:49 PM >  Authorization accomplished
1/5/2007 1:50:49 PM >  Request number of messages
1/5/2007 1:50:49 PM >  Error : Invalid page format.

PGOffline can get the number of messages, 4000+, and I can log into the group via IE and Firefox, so Yahoo's not blocking me out.

I tried another IP.  No good.  I tried creating another Yahoo identity and added that identity to the troubled group.  No good.

Another trouble I ran into was that I had chosen a folder for the "Outlook folder", and I'd like to now remove that "Inbox" from the textbox, but I can't seem to be able to delete it.

Any ideas from anyone out there?

Thanks!!

Hi,

I will send you some diagnostic stuff for the IPF problem.

If you can't delete the Outlook folder can you select a different one?

I will add the delete issue to the development queue.

Thanks,

Wilson.

Hi Wilson:

Thanks for the response!  It turns out that the errors are probably the result of some kind of automated shutdown mechanism on Yahoo...?

I hit "start" again about 10 hours later, after reading my way through the forums-- and turning on the "download x messages, then pause for y minutes" function, everything worked great, up to about 2000 messages.

That's when I ran into both the "invalid page format" and "message x [does] not exist" errors... I simply shut things down, waited another four hours, started it again, and everything's downloaded now.

Re: the Outlook box issue-- i don't have another inbox on this computer, and the PGOffline dialog box doesn't allow me to choose anything else.  I've hit "OK" and "Cancel", to no avail.

Thank you for the software, I'll be sending payment soon! ^_^

Meeta,

You should create a specific sub-folder under the Inbox to hold your group attachments. Simply name it after the group.

Cheers,

Wilson.
