Sorry if these are not bugs ...
I wanted a printout of a thread. I thought of Digest, though I haven't used it before. I looked in Help and found:
Messages without status New! can be viewed in a Digest format by either:
1) Highlight the message (or messages) in the message list, right mouse click & choose Show Selection as Digest from the context menu.
2) Highlight the message (or messages) in the message list & choose Messages--> Show Selection as Digest from the top menu.
I highlighted the messages in the thread and chose "Show Selection as Digest" from the context menu. I got an empty Digest. I tried it from the top menu. I also got an empty Digest.
I then marked the selection as unread. I tried again and it worked. Maybe there is a bug in Help?
The Digest had lots of undeleted quoted text, so I tried "Hide>". The complete text of some of the messages disappeared, including lines not starting with ">". Is this a bug?
Many thanks, Jeremy
Oh dear! I've just tried "Show selection as Digest" without making them unread first and it worked fine. I can't reproduce the empty Digest I had before. Please ignore my previous report.
But "Hide>" still removes all of some messages.
