Hi Wilson,

I have now the Invalid Page Error too, have all tried, what I found in the Forum inclusive repairing and reorganizing of the database - without success.

My PgOffline-Version is 2.5.45

Cheers

Hi Wilson,

you would better ask, in which groups I don't get the invalid page error. I get it in ca 2/3 of my about 700 groups. I read in between at sourceforge.net, that yahoo is again changing its page formats. And I think that is the reason for my timeout-problems with your software and for the invalid page errors.

But I think you hat to have these problems to, or should they only be at german yahoo?

cheers
Matthias

Cheers,

Wilson.

Since around the 19th of this mounth, I do get around 75% of "Invalid page format" too.  Specially on the most active groups like 9x20Lathe, LittleEngines, etc.
I'm using Window's XP and PG Offline ver. 2.5.45.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hallo Wilson,

Gru?

Matthias

Hi Matthias,

For those of us who don't speak German, what Matthias has spotted is that if you stay logged in to Yahoo for a longer period of time, it can automatically log you out & presents a new (non-standard) login screen.

If you have "Skip Authorisation" switched on, which most of us do, PG Offline attempts to use the login cookie from IE. And promptly falls flat because Yahoo has in fact logged you out.

What Matthias is saying is that you need to log back in using IE before you'll be able to use PGO again. Or you could switch "Skip Authorisation"  off and it would do its own authorisation.

He also says that he gets the IPF (Invalid Page Error) when the group has no message board. I haven't come across such a group myself but its handy to know.

Thanks Matthias,

Cheers,

Wilson.

I'm getting the IPF as well after having everything working until a few moments ago.

I tried logging in with IE to refresh the cookie and changing the "Skip Authorization" so that PG would not skip, but I still get the IPF.

A third reason for "Invalid Page Error": when the group is waiting for approve - if you have asked vor joining the grooup and approvement did not still take place. Also in all cases, in which PG-Offline cannot access the massage-data, it seems to answer with the Invalid Page Error.

With the Internet Explorer I had either to call the mygroups-page or the group, in which the Invalid Page Error happend. When it not worked then I found at me the case that the group was waiting von approvement or the group had no massageboard or the messageboard was empty.

In the other cases - and they were not less, it worked at me with setting the password again with Internet-Explorer.

cheers

Hi Alan,

If you refresh the cookie you want PGO to Skip Authorisation i.e. you want it to use the cookie rather than try to login itself (which is what causes the problem).

Wilson.

I didn't change anything between yesterday and today (I didn't even use a web browser to go to Yahoo yet), but I did not get the IPF's.  I guess Yahoo is mucking around with something and only certain servers are affected.

Well, now I don't feel so bad about belonging to about 375 groups!

Hi Tammi,

How many of your groups are IPF'ing? Any of them public? I'm looking for a test group.

Cheers,

Wilson.

I've been having email and PC problems and haven't been doing much with PGO lately, so I can't answer that one, yet:)
