Ine just signed up to a new Yahoo list learningwithcomputers.
When I download my groups routinely with PGOffline, nothing is downloaded for this group.
Comments? Suggesitons?
Dennis.
Hi Dennis,
... freaky... I just added it as a new group & bingo, I got them all. Can you check the spelling of the groupname in the group list pane?
Can you email me any error messages in the Status messages pane?
Thanks,
Wilson.
Wilson,Thanks for reply - problem solved. The download setting for the group had put itself at 55, and the group - about a week old - hadn't got that far yet! I simply reset the start to 00 and all is well.
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
OK, no problem.
Cheers,
Wilson.
I spoke too soon! I saw messages download, but when I went to read them offlilne, they were not there. Just tried to download again - setting ("Begin from...) had moved itself to 92! But nothing downloads. Is it something I need to reconfigure for group download? But how can I stop setting changing itself?
Dennis
I've tried various things - including leaving and rejoining the group at Yahoo. But I still get the "Begin at message " stuck at 96. When I reset it, something is downloaded, but (impression) jerkily but I can never view what. The list name in the list of groups regularly downloaded remains in non-bold i.e. empty.
I've checked Yahoo ID and chosen email address. Same as all other groups successfully downloaded.
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
Maybe just as a test, create a new database, add the group using 'Get Groups List' and try downloading it.
Might show something up.
Cheers,
Wilson.
Wilson,
Created new database as you suggested. Same thing happens. 'Start' setting found at 98. Set to 00. Something appears to download. Nothing shows. No error messages.
Dennis
Wilson,
Tried something else. Tried to download an existing list whose messages I have not read through PGOffline.
They, too, do not download.
Can you send me a screenshot of what you do get?
Thanks,
Wilson.
As far as I can see, no groups download. I think there always an error "Message does not exist" - but it flashes by too quickly to be sure what it says.
You recently wrote: "Set to non-cache." And where does one do that?
At the moment, sadly, for me, PGOffline is totally out of action.
I do gather that this is probably Yahoo's fault.

Wilson.
Wilson,
Thanks for suggestions.
Unchecked enable cacheing. Didn't help.Nothing downloaded.
Set a couple of groups 'start' at significantly lower than real last message. Simply got a string of 'Invalid page format. Re-request same message' but no downloads.
I haven't installed the latest patch, because everything was fine when it was issued. Should I now?
Probably best to.
Wilson.
Wilson,
Downloaded latest - patch - all is well again. Have switched back to:
enable caching
Correct?
Life plus PG Offline resumes until Yahoogroups hiccoughs next time.
Dennis
By the way the check against Notify of replies hasn't been working for in the last few days....It's an imperfect world...
Wilson,
