Title: Multiple Sessions of PG O
Post by: Brad on February 23, 2004, 04:37:28 PM
This may not be a bug, but might be a feature some use.  If so, let me know.  I've noticed that I've accidently openned 2 sessions of PG Offline.  (Some other programs just maximize the minimized session if one was already running.)

Is this a bug or feature?  I'm a little worried about corrupting the database by having multiple sessions running.

Hi Brad,

You can open as many sessions of PGO as you like but it does expect exclusive access when writing to the database. I've had 3 sessions of PGO downloading different groups and now & again I get this error:

Its not fatal, you can OK it & proceed and I don't think you can break your database because the exclusive locking protects it. This is what I *think* though. Carry on with thsi experiment but make sure you've archived your groups first!

Cheers,

Wilson.
