Hi,

Yesterday, all worked fine. This morning, all message bodies are empty.

TIA,

I posted this about an hour ago in I need help. Other's are straggling over so it appears Yahoo has changed whatever PG parses the message body off of.

I'm new so I'm wondering how long a fix takes?

I also have empty message bodies except from my German and British groups. We've been Yahooed again!

I have empty messages as well. Have tried the workaround with enabling messge caching ....but to no avail. Looks like we need a patch for this one??

I'm trying Michael's suggestion from "I need Help" (which was disable message caching) now.  But in the mean time, I had updated all my message group databases, and it's going to be tedious to go through the groups (1 by 1) and re-download.  at least I caught it today and not a week or so down the line.

It does look like the font is changed to "courier".  Maybe yahoo disabled html in their messages?  (The only group I've looked at so far doesn't allow attachments and so the messages don't usually come through with extra html formatting).

???

Hi Linda,

I'm away from home at the moment. I'll have a closer look at this on Friday night.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Wilson,

Tried downloading the 2.5.044 patch to fix the empty message body problem, but I get the following URL not found error:

The requested URL /groupmanager/pgpatch25044.exe was not found on this server.

 :(

The 2.5.044 patch does not seem to be there as of Tuesday Feb 7th 10 AM EST.   When I have message caching enabled I get empty message bodies.  When I turn it off I get the following:

2/7/2006 10:03:52 AM >  Receive message : 17369
2/7/2006 10:04:19 AM >  Error : The HTTP redirect request failed
2/7/2006 10:04:19 AM >  Receive message : 17370
2/7/2006 10:04:48 AM >  Error : The HTTP redirect request failed
2/7/2006 10:04:48 AM >  Receive message : 17371
2/7/2006 10:04:51 AM >  Error : You were locked by yahoo.

The redirect request failure and the lockout are new to me.

David,

I think the server was temporarily knackered.

Can you try again ?

Thanks,

Wilson.

JAB,

Don't know much about this error. Will ask the developer.

still can't download the update, (file not found) and email to the pgoffline account is bouncing...  HELP!

How about an alternate DL location?

Wilson,

Tried again, but I am still getting the 404 error.  The weird thing is that I can download 43, 42, 41, etc. with no problem.

The server crashed & was restored to a point before the patch was added.

I have had the developer reload it to the public FTP area of www.pgoffline.com but I have no idea how to link to it via http. At the moment I'm on a PC that has no FTP capability.

If I can't fix it today it will be fixed by tomorrow evening. Assuming the server doesn't drop again.

Cheers,

Wilson.
