Ok this is odd. I don't know if it goes in help or bugs. But I do a receive messages and it downloads messages with everything but the body? Message bodies are blank?
When I visit the group they aren't blank there but only when I download them?
Help,
Jo
I'm having the same problem. Has Yahoo! once again changed something?
--Michael
Ok did a little "playing" around with options. I found that if I disable "Enable Messages Caching" in the File/Options/Download section I am able to download the message bodies. I had to reset the message counter to get already downloaded messages.
All I can say is that this worked for me. No Guarantees!
--Michael
Thanks for the work around. Interesting all the font changed for me, how about you? Wonder what happened.
Michael,
How did you reset the message counter?
thanks.

Hi,
Right click on the Group name in the group list (left hand pane).
Choose Group Settings.
Choose Download Settings tab.
You can set the start & end point of the download in this tab.
Cheers,
Wilson.
Hi Wilson
I have tried the workarounds and still have blank messages.
It is happening on all the groups I have tried so far.
Seems like we need a patch. What do you think?
Alan
Wilson I asked about the empty message bodies.
Will you PLEASE ADDRESS THAT ISSUE so we can again cache messages!
Jo
PS I'm a software engineer if my answer to my boss ignored the main situation they'd write me up.
Hi Jo,
This issue is only being reported by a couple of users. This leads me to believe that the problem is with the software Yahoo is running on a small number of servers. In all probability this issue is transient as the server software will soon be updated.
I don't mind fixing problems but I can't chase a moving target, particularily one I cannot test directly as my servers appear to be on a different version.
If this issue persists it will be addressed.
Cheers,
Wilson.
If it makes any difference I'm also receiving messages with no content in the body.
When I see a "couple of users" have reported an "issue" here I don't bother adding to the redundancy as a rule.

Ditto. Been having this problem since this morning. Turning off caching works for now. But one group simply refuses to download the missed messages again.
LIke the others, I am not receiving the message bodies of the groups I subscribe to.
Ulisses
I too am not receiving the message bodies. I tried disabling message caching and now am getting an "The HTTP redirect request failed" error message in PG Offline 2.5.043. :-\

Hey Wilson,
I just installed the last update you sent me, 2.5.43. I just refreshed all my groups and I've got this problem too. You mentioned that only a few have reported the issue, I am only posting because you said only a few have mentioned the problem. I usually don't post because someone else has and you are usually making a fix anyway.
I've got many groups, so I'm probably getting messages from more than one server. Is there a way I can help to find out what servers are causing the problems? Most of my groups are machiining/cnc related, Sherline, Taig, cad_cam_edm_dro, xylotex etc.
Monte
I am also having the problem. Disabling message caching caused a different problem: ""error: the http redirect request failed."
I join "the few" with this problem. I get only the titles of messages - the message itself, the body, is not there.
-----
Is what follows a naive, idiotic suggestion....Has PG Offline ever approached YG with a view to cooperation instead of this cat and mouse game?
Dennis
Hate to jump in with a "Me Too!" but...
I did disable message caching and am able to download message bodies but PGO now runs at a speed comparable to molasses in winter-tme.
Another "me too"! Disabling message cache didn't do it for me...
Alright already :) We'll look at it at the weekend.
Cheers,
Wilson.
Wilson & team,
Thanks so much for the fix to the "empty message body" problem. In my experience, you guys always answer at the very least, and usually manage to fix most problems rapidly.
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
Yep, we try to do what we can.
Thanks,
Wilson.
Whn trying to download the fix:
Not Found
The requested URL /groupmanager/pgpatch25044.exe was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.pgoffline.com Port 80
I downloaded the latest version (PGOffline-2-5-043.exe) yesterday, and am having the empty message problem. Makes no difference if message caching is on or off.
There is a notice at the top of the forum page that version 2.5.044 is available, but the link is broken.
Is a later version still available? If the software works it is certainly worth $20, but a bunch of blank messages is not real useful...
Thanks.

I'm another new user who's also having the message body problem. Unfortunately the patch file that's linked is only 428 bytes long and won't execute.
OK,
The patch link is now working again:
http://pgoffline.com/groupmanager/pgpatch25044.exe

Wilson.
