Title: Statistices How to ?
Post by: DaveMucha on November 29, 2005, 08:00:13 AM
Hi all,

I want to find out who has been naughty and who has been nice.....

Actually, I want to see who hase been active for the last 90 day or so of a 90,000 post list.  it has been running for a few years, and I have a sizable chunk on my machine.

1. View / Show All Messages    - don't forget this!

2. View / Statistics Builder

When Stats Builder window is stable:

3. Select Groups : Group Name : click tick box (already set if group was selected)

4. Statistics types : click Postings (default)

5. Date : From and To (1 September to today)

6. Leave blank Compare and Group vs group

7. click Build -> Statistics Report in new window

Decide what you mean by "active". I use Posts > 10 or % > 1.00

Can also copy table to spreadsheet for analysis.

Wow, it's hard to make it any easier.

Thanks,  that worked perfectly.

Hi Jeremy,

Great post... in fact, post of the month !!

If I ever get round to doing PGO T-Shirts, I'll send you one gratis.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Wilson, you are very kind. I like Stats Builder very much and post its results to the group sometimes.

By the way, I lied about Show All Messages - it's necessary for Search but not for Stats. Sorry.

XXL please! Jeremy

Thank god someone uses & likes it. An aweful lot of development time went into it & no-one ever mentions it.

Cheers,

Wilson.
