Title: Invalid Page Format Again
Post by: GeorgiaRebel on October 11, 2005, 05:26:40 PM
I am getting the invalid page format error on the swpb, TI99-4a, and UCSDPascal groups.  This has been happening since early afternoon yesterday (10/10).

This is wierd....  On a lark, I signed on to Yahoo using Internet Explorer  (I normally use FireFox for everything) and did not check the box to remember my user ID and password on this computer. I tried PG Offline's (version 2.5.041) refresh and received the invalid page format error.  I logged off of Yahoo and logged back on and this time I checked the box to remember my user ID and password.  I again did a refresh and was able to download all my messages.

What is the relationship between IE and PG Offline that causes this behavior?

PG Offline uses the cached Yahoo login info to do its sign-in, if you have checked 'Skip Authorisation'.

Currently however, PGO does this regardless of how you have set the  'Skip Authorisation' check box.

The cure, as you've surmised, is to login to Yahoo using IE & make sure it saves this information.

Cheers,

Wilson.

How often do I need to logon using IE to keep the information available to PG Offline?

Hi Alan,

Only once, so long as you don't clear your IE cache.

Cheers,
