Now this is annoying ! I did a search over two groups. read the resulting messages and flagged some as favovites. The little stars showed up as expected.
Did an update and all the favorite flags went away. I just lost about 1/2 hour of work !!! What's going on Wilson?

Thats very wierd. Refreshes do not update existing messages, it only adds new messages.
Can you replicate this?
I've tried
1) Add favourite, immediate Refresh
2) Add favourite, immediate Start
3) Add favourite, immediate shutdown, restart
4) Add favourite, switch groups
I believe you that its happened, I can't get it to happen for me.

The scenario is:
-click search from the tool bar
-select a group, do a search for keyword in messages
- read results, flag favorite messages as appropriate
-go back to 'regular'mode (browse the group)
-all the favorite flags just created are gone.

When you do a search, the result of the search is a temporary table. This table is simply deleted at the end of the dialog session. Technically it should be displayed as read only so that you can't change it.

Well that seriously limits functionality. The whole point (I thought) was to find information across multiple groups. What good is it if I can search, find, but not flag/save what I have been looking for.
Please add this to the 'fix it' list. -
--If a message is flagged as a favorite it stays a favorite until unflagged, regardless of how the message was found or read.

Well, its worse than just no favourites... you can't delete either.
I'm aware that its a PITA. I've wanted this fixed for over a year but you know my situation.
