Title: 'Get Groups' fails
Post by: RebelTrucker on August 07, 2005, 06:58:31 PM
Hi; I received this message a couple weeks ago and was just wondering if it's still being looked into.

'I?m getting Invalid page errors for both Get Groups & Receive Message. If you?re also getting these errors (it may only be some servers) hang in there, I?ll get the developer to have a look at it.

Cheers,

Wilson.'

All my groups are back to normal, which leads me to believe that whatever Yahoo are doing is in the nature of maintainance.  If they do to the American servers what they did to the European servers then your groups will come back online in due course. Assuming you're in America?

Cheers,

Wilson.

I'm having problems too - just upgraded to 2.5.40 and no help.

"08/08/2005 5:44:42 AM >  Authorization started
08/08/2005 5:44:43 AM >  Error : Invalid page format."

This happens even if I do it twice, and it happens to both groups I monitor:
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/bmwe39/
and
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/HackTheIBus/

Edited - I've been trying for a day now... but I just tried it again and it worked fine. Weird.

My groups went down for about a week & then just sprang back to life. Where are you located ?

Cheers,

Wilson.

Vancouver, BC Canada.

I tried it about half an hour after editing my last post, and it had stopped working again. Go figure. Can't check now as I am at a different computer.

For some reason, yahoo seems to log me out of my current browser group session when I try to use pgoffline and get the invalid page format error . I'm way out of my expertise here, but  maybe there is some peculiar sequence of being logged in  or not logged in (via browser) that is affecting the pgoffline logging in? Can yahoo be tracking this somehow?

In in the U.S. Still couldn't make 'get groups' function. I had to enter in a 'new group' when necessary. Also had to refresh every group in order to download new messages.

I hope it's just temporary.

I'm getting IPF on groups list but I am able to get my groups OK.

It would appear that Yahoo are still mucking about.

Cheers,

Wilson.
