Everything had been working fine for me for several weeks until last night (last message was received at 7:38 PM Pacific time on 1 AUG) when all of my groups stopped downloading.
I had been using Version 2.5.039.
I just updated to 2.5.040 and that doesn't help. Still getting Invalid page format error for all my groups.
HELP.

Sigh, I just have the worst timing. I don't update my groups very often. It usually says invalid page format. I try, it fails, I download the latest version, it works. Then the next time I try it fails again and it seems the problem had just reoccured like 2 days earlier. heh.
I tried un/re-installing, nogo.
I can't get a thing.
Same here, with version 40, WIlson remember that private group?, still not working but now is all the groups as Yahoo surely did it again ???, so I'll wait if next patch correct everything
regards,
Might not need a patch, please see this thread:

Wilson,
I'm in Australia, using a US server. The IPF message comes during the Authorization phase when doing a 'receive messages' for an individual group, and for about 4 out of 5 group updates when doing a 'receive all messages'. It's been doing this for over 24 hours.
HTH,
davidh
I've been getting the IPF for two days now. It affects all of my groups on Yahoo.
- Alan
Me too on the three groups I read. Was working till Friday of last week. Updated to .40 and still nothing.
I believe this may be a transient problem due to Yahoo upgrading their servers. If its still a problem on Monday and they've stopped buggering about with the format then we'll produce a patch.
Cheers,
Wilson.
Nothing working here - for about a week now. Just checked again (2:30am EST Aug 9) and no go.
Well, I'm still having the problem.
I tried a couple different things and found out some new info though.
I don't know if it would have been the same if I tried a couple days ago.
Some groups are set to private so you can't see any of the messages
if you're not a member. Other groups aren't, so even if you're not a
member you can still read the messages.
Well, I turned authrorization off and I can get the messages from the
groups that are not private. But the ones that are private I can not.
I can't get a 'List' either. So it seems that anything that requires
logging on to fails. If authorization is on I get nothing at all from
anywhere.
I don't think anyone's mentioned that before.
-Adam
There also seems to be a totally seperate glitch with the program
involving authorization. I need to quit the program and reopen it
to get it to change sometimes. It doesn't appear to be consistant.
I did try turning off autorization but did'nt work, nor for open neither private groups, think if this is a transient having to do with yahoo tampering with the servers is a loooooonng transient :o
Trouble for me too - public and private groups - more than a week now.
Wilson,
How about creating the ability to log the HTML that is being parsed which can be sent to you so your developer has something concrete to work with?
Already exists....
start PGO from a DOS window..
pgoffline25.exe - debug
Do some downloads... raw HTML is logged to the LOG folder.
Cheers,
Wilson.
Dumb question, but would it help if all the folks who are having problems did this?? or would that be information overload?

I ran it with the debug command.
I tried everything that causes the IPF.
All the files it created in the log dir showed
the yahoo login screen.
This one:
http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?.done=http://groups.yahoo.com&.src=ygrp&.intl=us
Hmm, I just tried loging into that page.
After I log in it asks me to enter the password again. I tried
a few times to make sure I was entering my password
correctly every time.
Every time I go to the login page I need to enter the pass
in twice... so that might be why it's giving the IPF
I've been down for several days also. IPF error.
2.5.39 on one computer and 2.5.40 on another. Same problem on both. When I launch the brogram from a DOS window with the debug option, no LOG folder is created, so I can't help there.
I tried this as well, and got the same problem - yahoo asking me to login twice.
Try this possible fix for the problem....

I am still not sure if it is a yahoo thing or a IE thing but it worked for me.
Alex
Wilson,
Any news or comments on this IPF problem? The last time I was able to download my groups was about 2 weeks ago.
All my groups are affected. I've tried to log into both my yahoo mail and yahoo groups and then do downloads but it did not help. I've tried it with authorization on and off with no joy.
Thanks
Did you delete all cookies and cache in IE, first? That seems to be the key. It won't keep you from having to log-in all the time, but you may be able to download groups.
I'm also wondering if this the log in issue is strictly yahoo related. When I login to yahoo mail, and close the browser window, I have to re-login even though I have cookies enabled. It does this in both IE and Firefox. Am I the only one that is noticing this?
Tammi
I just deleted my cookies & temp files (which took like 20 min.!), logged into groups, launched PG Offline and tried downloading. I tried it with authorzation on and off with no luck. I logged in to groups again with the "remember me" boxed checked and repeated the above and still get the same error. So either I'm missing something or this work-around does not solve the problem.
I'll throw my hat in the ring and mention that my PGO is also IPFing. I have tried the login-to-Yahoo-in-IE workaround, and have tried running PGO both with the "Skip Authorization" option on and off.
My PGO version is PG Offline Plus, Version 2.5.40.
Thanks,
Chris
Right guys, I'm having um, staff difficulties but I promise to get this looked at ASAP.
Cheers,
Wilson.
sigh... still IPF, even after .41 patch
8/21/2005 8:40:11 AM > Authorization skipped
8/21/2005 8:40:13 AM > Request number of messages
8/21/2005 8:40:13 AM > Error : Invalid page format.
Two possible reasons...
1. Turn Skip Authorization OFF. If it's on your going to have to use the I.E. Workaround, because PGO reads the yahoogroups cookie to skip authorization. When you switch it permanently off it reads the master login that you typed into pgo.
If that does not work. It may be a corrupt database. This morning I could not get anything but IPF's after I opened another database. I went back and checked the one I'd just closed. It worked fine.
I renamed the old database. Created a new one. Imported all of my messages from the old one. And it worked great. So the only thing I can figure is that I had a corrupt database.
